Josiah and I are usually helping to create, organize and coordinate outreaches for different teams here at Reef to Outback. Although we have been a part of the outreaches in some form or fashion every quarter, we haven’t actually been the ones going on outreach in a while. I did a two-month outreach in Thailand in 2004 and then helped prepare and facilitate Impact World Tour, a mass-evangelical campaign in the major cities of North Queensland in 2005-2006. Since then I’ve been managing the department that provides the information and tools for young people who are interested in missions and different outreaches. In 2003 Josiah did an outreach to Tonga and Fiji, and then in 2005 he led an outreach along the coast to small towns of North Queensland for a couple months.

We’ve done small trips and day things here and there and are heavily involved in Youth Street, but we are extremely excited about our new outreach opportunity! We’ve been asked to be involved in the Cape York Tour, a miniature model of Impact World Tour to small country and isolated towns in the north-eastern tip of Australia. The north-eastern tip has limited access on the dirt roads so we’re 4-Wheel Driving up during the dry season so the rivers and creeks won’t be so high. The towns are isolated indigenous towns full of Aborigines or Torres Strait Islanders. We’re excited to use different dances and songs from their culture to tell the story of Jesus. We weren’t sure if we were actually going to be able to run the tour due to people confirming their schedules to fly in from all over the world, but it’s happening so sorry for the late notice!

I’ll be dancing on a team of about five or seven different dancers; I’m pretty nervous but was privileged that they asked me due to my dance/cheer background; I love dancing and this is an opportunity to perform and then share my story about what God has and is doing in my life. Josiah is pretty excited to come as well and film and capture some great footage to use to bring awareness and report what happened (and support his awesome wife)! I’ll be involved with the Cape York Tour from July 11-August 17 with dance practice (they call it bootcamp, yikes!) and travel. Josiah will be involved for most of that as well. We’re looking at an estimated $2,500 for the both of us to cover gas, food, and lodging expenses. We really need help at this point to be able to go, so please consider donating towards this outreach. I apologize for the late notice; however it’s going to be awesome to visit towns that haven’t had visitors in over ten years and do ministry. There is such a big need for Jesus in so many different parts of the world, and we’re getting to affect one little part. Thank you for your consideration!
