Lately I’ve been looking through my recipe book and have been quite ambitious in a few things! Some receipes I’ve found I really liked, while others, quite frankly were not a do-again.

Yet, I have found that I can make a pretty mean chocolate cake with Josiah’s help! With our new measuring cups and bakeware we got as a wedding gift, we’ve been cooking and baking up a storm in the kitchen. So far my home-made chocolate cake has been my favorite with perfect icing made by Josiah. Mmm….don’t those pictures make you just want a piece?!

Yup, that’s about it for now. Chocolate cake and sweet and sour chicken (which we loved).

It was so exciting receiving our wedding album in the mail yesterday! Shelton’s did a wonderful job and it was so exciting looking through our photos and re-living our special day. So many friends and family were there to celebrate and we are so thankful that it was captured so well. Looking through the book and experiencing the similar emotions brought tears to our eyes.

It came just in time, too! We’re having a reception here at Reef to Outback on Friday, so everyone will be able to see how much fun we had and experience a part of our ceremony for themself! We’re showing clips of the ceremony and reception and tons of pictures which will be fun. And DANCING! We’ll post those pictures sometime next week.

Ever since we started dating, we specified Sunday as our special day to be with each other. We make sure we have a certain day that we’re able to spend quality time with each other.

Lately every Sunday we’ve been going to the Riverway to lay in the sun (well, that’s more for me I think) and listen to The Chronicles of Narnia.

This past Sunday we had a BBQ out on the Strand. That was one of the BEST hamburgers I’ve had in a long time. Hamburger with grilled pineapple and lots of onion and BBQ sauce. Mmm-mm!!! I made potatoe salad the Josiah loved, so that was a hit. We had a good time grilling out on the beach, although it was cut short due to the wind. It got pretty chilly so we retired early and I gave a Josiah a haircut; it looks good! What I mean by that is, he liked that he didn’t shave his head this time! (Last time I cut it, we ended up giving him a buzz…whoops).
