Hey family…just an update on the Bridging visa I’m waiting on: it’s still not granted. (Refer to previous article Gate 40B for more clarity on what a bridging visa is).
Now, don’t fret…I’m not stressed about it because I know God has been faithful in so many small things in my life, especially lately, but I do still need your prayers that it would be approved this week!

Well, good news family and friends! Thank you so much for your prayers!!!
Although Josiah and I haven’t been granted our Religious Workers Visa, I am able to apply for a bridging visa that will allow me to travel to the States for three months while the Religious Workers Visa is processing!!! I am going to be able to travel home and prepare for our wedding May 9!!
I’ve submitted my Bridging B application to the Department of Immigration, so please pray that it will be processed and granted by May 5 so I can actually leave on May 9. Although it’s a crunch for time, I’m not stressed at all knowing that God has continued to provide open doors and provides in ALL aspects of my life. But I still need your prayers!
I, actually we, can’t explain how excited we are that I’m able to come home for that long! Now I just have to start packing!!

Not really sure when we’ll be back again. Let me explain; I, Crissa, have purchased my wedding ticket (that’s what I’m calling my airline tickets to travel to and from my wedding) and am schedule to depart Australia to arrive in America on May 9, 2007. I am extremely excited to travel home and prepare for our wedding, spending a bit of time with my family for the last time as their single daughter.
However, Josiah and I are still waiting on our visa from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship of Australia to grant our request for a 2 years temporary stay in their country. Unless they grant this visa we are not permitted to leave the country without our application being voided. But wait; there’s Plan B. Which is quite funny because Plan B is the Bridging B Visa. If our visa has not been processed to be granted, we can apply for a Bridging B visa which enables us to leave the country for a maximum of about 5 weeks (remember, a new visa means new application and more money and more time). So we do have a Plan B, it’s just not ideal.
As missionaries, we do often seek people to advocate for us through finances. But more than that, we need hundreds of people to advocate and rally together through prayer for us, in all situations.
We believe marriage is a life-long covenant that God created, and has now called us into a completely new stage and season of our lives to be wed. We know we are to continue with Reef to Outback for a few more years. I do believe we continue to run this race and so we need others to fight with us in prayer. We know we can’t do it alone. Please partner with us in believing that our visa will be granted on time and for the preparations of spending the rest of our lives together.

For those interested in what Australian money looks like here’s a $50 bill; all of their bills are different colors and kind of plastic, you can’t tear them.
Anyways, I ended up receiving a $50 note (as they say here) in my mailbox at work and was so blessed. I just wanted to say thank you to whomever did that! We are truly grateful!!
