Playing Dress Up…

I can remember when I was young I had this chest full of different princess dresses, Indian outfits, even a Minnie Mouse outfit complete with felt ears! I also remember dressing up in my mom’s 1982 wedding dress, complete with hat and veil and jumping on the trampoline. I loved wearing it and had the most trouble trying to walk around in it without tripping over all the excess fabric and lace. Dressing up was one of my favorite things to do and I cherish those memories (and photographs!) of my childhood…

Playing Dress Up

Well, I was able to play dress up again a few weeks ago! A few friends and I hunted down the bridal shops here in Townsville and each dress I tried on was followed by “ooohs” and “aahhhs.” It was so much fun dressing up and realizing, soon, I will be walking down the aisle in our own little fairy tale wedding.

After trying on quite a few dresses, I found “the one.” Most of you ladies know what I’m talking about…you try it on, look in the mirror, a smile bursts across your face and all you can say is “It’s perfect. How much is it?” And when the retailer tells you with a smile, you either grin larger or groan knowing you’re going to have to cut out your excess spending habit on shoes. All I can say is I could of kissed the lady helping me! I found the perfect dress for a great price and I’m looking forward to wearing it for a whole day! (Yes, gentlemen, we do go through all that trouble for this one special day; taking your breath away and becoming your wife!)

Just thought I’d share my excitement and our progress in planning the wedding!

Just a Tuesday…

Hangin’ out…

No major news right now, just a note to all of you checking our webpage that we appreciate your continued involvement in our lives! We would also love a little email or comment; please keep us up to date as well! (I love notes!)

We’ll try to post some more pictures relatively soon as well. They say a picture is worth a thousand words…

Wedding Gifts

Most of you already know that Josiah and I have made a committment to serve with YWAM in Townsville, Australia until 2009. Because we plan to return to Australia after the wedding, we are asking for financial gifts as our wedding gifts. These gifts will go towards items we will need in our new apartment (dishes, microwave, washer, refrigerator, couch, etc) in Australia.

We will be honeymooning for three weeks in the States, doing a road trip. If you would like to give fuel cards/vouchers, gift cards to Wal-Mart or Target or nation-wide restraunt gift cards (Applebees, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Cracker Barrel, etc) that would definitely be a blessing as well.

You can check out our financial projects page and see what we are in need of and how you can bless us. Thank you!
